SIX is a collection of carbon fiber and wood objects by Grant MacPherson, informed by a lifelong love of things aero- and hydro-dynamic. Traditionally a material used in super-cars and racing yachts, the SIX collection adapts carbon fiber to the home environment, whether that be on land or water. Leveraging carbon fiber's natural strength and combining it with the warmth and tactile properties of walnut and other hardwoods, the SIX collection yields strong and lightweight functional art pieces for the modern living space.

Grant MacPherson Design is a small studio that developed through the intersection of Grant's experience working in sculpture and residential design and his love of sailing, both open-ocean voyaging and local kitesurfing. Through the fabrication of tools for aquatic adventure, Grant developed an appreciation for organic forms and curved shapes, which has influenced his work in all disciplines, and most recently has brought to fruition the SIX collection.

Each piece in the SIX collection is made to order by hand, numbered and signed, here on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Production times vary based on demand, please get in touch if you are interested in something from the collection.
