I'm Grant MacPherson, and welcome to my studio practice. It's an intersection of three roads I've been on for a long time. One path comes from my background in residential design and building. The second road threads all the way back to a visual art degree in sculpture at the University of Victoria, once upon a time. The third track winds through it all: a love of being in the ocean, riding some sort of craft of my own design. Building those opened a valuable window of knowledge into composite construction. Grant Macpherson Design is a happy collision of shoreline inspiration and gallery sensibility. The four pieces above - Carve Bowls 1 and 2, Squish End Table and Squish Nightstand, are the first to be offered, made in a limited quantity in my Victoria shop. This work is all unique, and these pieces evolve along with my shop methods. New work is coming soon - a Squish Coffee Table, and desk.
